Collateral Murder

Originally put up by wikileaks.org this video is of an Apache air strike in Iraq in 2007. The video shows them firing upon a gathering of people in the streets of a suburb who they claim to be in possession of weapons. After the initial engagement a van pulls up to pick up the bodies and, one would assume, get them medical care. The soldiers then request permission to engage a second time and fire upon the unarmed evac crew. Turns out two of the people shot down in this video were employees of Reuters News agency and that there were children inside of the van. I just wanted to be another spot for people to find this video. The hosts for this may start to be shut down... We shall see.

From wikileaks: "WikiLeaks has released a classified US military video depicting the indiscriminate slaying of over a dozen people in the Iraqi suburb of New Baghdad -- including two Reuters news staff. Reuters has been trying to obtain the video through the Freedom of Information Act, without success since the time of the attack. The video, shot from an Apache helicopter gun-site, clearly shows the unprovoked slaying of a wounded Reuters employee and his rescuers. Two young children involved in the rescue were also seriously wounded."
